About this mod Author’s original text

HarvestTimes

A bepinex mod for Valheim 1.0 that allows you to know when your next harvest is ready.

HarvestTimes adds a countdown to the normal hover text when you look at planted crops and saplings.

Optionally, it also shows when harvested berry bushes will produce berries again.

Features

  • Plant growth countdown: Ready in: 12m 34s.
  • Optional berry bush countdown: Respawns in: 4h 28m 15s.
  • Supports raspberry, blueberry, and cloudberry bushes.
  • Separate switches for plant growth and berry respawn timers.
  • Does not change growth speed, respawn behavior, or saved world data.

Installation

Client-side display only; Not needed to install on the server.

Install with a -compatible mod manager, or install BepInEx 5 for Valheim and copy plugins/HarvestTimes/HarvestTimes.dll into BepInEx/plugins/HarvestTimes.

If you used the earlier PlantReadyTimer, remove PlantReadyTimer.dll first to avoid duplicate timers. Its configuration does not migrate to HarvestTimes.

Configuration

Start the game once to generate BepInEx/config/simplifydave.harvesttimes.cfg.

[General]

Enabled = true

[Timers]

ShowPlantGrowth = true

ShowBushRespawn = false

Set ShowBushRespawn = true to enable berry bush respawn timers. Restart the game after editing the configuration file. Configuration is local to each player.

Look at a plant or a harvested bush within the game's normal hover distance. Unharvested bushes keep their normal interaction text.

How time is calculated

The mod reads each plant's own growth duration and planting time. Bush timers use the synchronized last-picked timestamp and the bush's respawn duration.

Times are shown in ordinary hours, minutes, and seconds at normal world speed. The countdown follows Valheim's world clock: sleeping, pausing, offline worlds, and time-changing mods can affect it. It is not an independent real-world stopwatch.

If a plant is unhealthy, the mod displays Cannot mature under current conditions. alongside the game's original status. At the end of a countdown, Ready soon… or Respawning soon… means the timer has elapsed but the game still needs to process growth or respawning. Berry checks can take roughly another minute in a loaded area; unloaded areas or additional spawn conditions can delay them further.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin

  1. The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
  2. Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
  3. Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
  4. Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.

Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
