Forsaken Power Selector

Normal experience is to go back to the sacrificial stones to change your Forsaken Power. This mod lets you swap powers anywhere on the fly with a single keystroke, without resetting or altering your cooldown timer.

Press F8 (configurable) to open a panel listing all available Forsaken Powers and switch instantly:

  • Eikthyr - Run and jump stamina drain reduced by 60%.
  • The Elder - Wood cutting speed increased by 60%.
  • Bonemass - Physical damage resistance (Blunt, Slash, Pierce).
  • Moder - Always have a tailwind while sailing.
  • Yagluth - Elemental damage resistance (Fire, Frost, Lightning) and spirit resistance.
  • The Queen - Eitr regeneration increased by 100% and mining speed increased by 60%.
  • Fader - Carry weight capacity increased by 300 and movement speed increased by 10%.

The panel dynamically displays your currently equipped power along with the remaining cooldown clock or a ready indicator. Drag the panel anywhere on your screen using the top header. Press Escape or click Close to dismiss it at any time.

Two things worth knowing

Cooldowns persist across swaps. Switching powers does not reset, cancel, or bypass your timer. If you activate Eikthyr and immediately swap to Bonemass, your 20-minute cooldown clock continues ticking down seamlessly. If your power is already off cooldown, the new power is ready to activate immediately.

Server progression respected. The selector automatically filters available powers using server and character world progression keys (defeated_eikthyr, defeated_bonemass, etc.). You only unlock access to powers whose bosses have actually been slain on your current server or world.

Compatibility

Client-side only. It reads local state and updates character attributes locally - no RPC registrations, no custom ZDO writes, and no server-side dependencies required. Safe to use when connecting to dedicated vanilla servers or modded servers alike.

Requires BepInExPack Valheim.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin

  1. The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
  2. Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
  3. Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
  4. Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.

Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
