FermenterTimer Ymiron
Shows the time left (and progress) when hovering over a fermenter that is fermenting.
About this mod Author’s original text
FermenterTimer-Ymiron
Shows how long is left before a fermenter is ready. Hover over a fermenter that is working and an extra line
appears under the vanilla text, counting down live:
Fermenter ( Mead base: Minor healing, Fermenting )
Ready in 23:41 (40%)
Nothing is shown when the fermenter is empty, ready, or when it has no roof / is exposed (in that case the game
keeps restarting the timer, and the vanilla text already tells you why).
Configuration
File BepInEx\config\ymiron.valheim.fermentertimer.cfg:
| Section | Key | Default | What it does |
|-------------|------------------|------------|----------------------------------------------------------------|
| 1 - Display | Label | Ready in | Text before the time (e.g. Pronto tra). |
| 1 - Display | ShowPercentage | true | Also show the progress as a percentage. |
| 1 - Display | Color | #FFD966 | Color of the line: hex code or Unity color name (orange...). |
Upgrading from 1.0.0: the file used to be gfrascarelli.valheim.fermentertimer.cfg; copy your values over, then
delete the old file.
The file can be edited while the game is running: the mod reloads it on save. It also works from the
Configuration Manager (F1), if installed.
Notes
- The time is the world clock, the same one the game uses: a fermenter takes 40 minutes of play time
(sleeping through the night skips time and advances it too).
- Client side only: the mod applies to whoever installs it. It is not needed on the server.
Installation
- Mod manager (r2modman Mod Manager): Settings > Import local mod and pick the zip.
- Manual: copy FermenterTimer.dll into BepInEx\plugins.
Requires BepInExPack_Valheim.
Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
