FehuServerNotice
By BlackViking · Version 420.101.1 · GUID forteca.fehuservernotice
A standalone client-side Forteca multiplayer information notice for Valheim. It keeps a compact dark/gold panel, a small Fehu rune and a CONTINUE button, with local display history.
Installation
Install with your Valheim mod manager, or copy the included BepInEx directory into your selected client profile/game installation. Keep exactly one FehuServerNotice DLL. Dedicated servers do not need this client UI mod.
Dependencies: BepInExPack Valheim 5.4.2351 and Jotunn 2.30.2 or compatible newer versions, as listed in the manifest.
BepInEx/
plugins/FehuServerNotice/FehuServerNotice.dll
config/FehuServerNotice/notice.json
Editable notice text — no DLL rebuild
Edit BepInEx/config/FehuServerNotice/notice.json as UTF-8 JSON, then restart the game.
- title: heading.
- buttonText: label of the existing acknowledgement button.
- paragraphs.text: paragraph text; use text for bold and \n for a line break.
- paragraphs.style: body for normal text, or feature for the existing centered gold feature line. Omitted style means body.
The included JSON contains the full default notice. A missing JSON file is created automatically. Invalid/unreadable JSON uses built-in text and logs a warning while preserving the user's file for correction.
Reminder settings
BepInEx generates BepInEx/config/forteca.fehuservernotice.cfg on first launch. Normal defaults:
Enabled = true
ShowOnFirstRun = true
ShowEveryStart = false
ReminderDays = 7
NoticeVersion = 1
The notice appears after five seconds at the ready main menu on the first eligible run, after the seven-day reminder interval, or when NoticeVersion changes. Editing JSON alone preserves that schedule and the existing display history. Increment NoticeVersion separately if an important text update should become eligible earlier.
Display history is local to each profile in BepInEx/config/FehuServerNotice/state.json. The package contains the mod and editable text; personal state and test configuration are excluded.
The notice is informational. Its existing menu-input handling and official-destination detection remain unchanged; it adds no gameplay enforcement or network hooks.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
