FarmingPlantEasilyFix

v1.0.0·Updated 2026-09-24

Compat patch: makes Smoothbrain's Farming bonus (faster growth, higher yield) apply to every crop in an Advize PlantEasily grid, not just the first few. Server-side only is enough.

About this mod Author’s original text

FarmingPlantEasilyFix

Compatibility patch between Smoothbrain's Farming and Advize's PlantEasily.

Without it, only the first few crops of a PlantEasily grid get Farming's faster growth and

higher yield. The rest grow at vanilla speed and give vanilla amounts, even though the

whole grid was planted by the same player at the same skill level.

Install

Requires Farming and PlantEasily to be installed already; they are not listed as

dependencies because they are published on different registries.

Server only is enough. Put the mod on your dedicated server and every player's grids

are fixed, whether or not they have this mod installed. Players don't need it.

Installing it on clients as well is optional. It does the same fix locally and additionally

lets Farming's Ignore Biome Level apply to bulk-planted crops. It is harmless to have it in

both places.

No configuration. Check BepInEx/LogOutput.log for

[Info:FarmingPlantEasilyFix] Server-side ZDO fix installed.

Why this happens

Farming remembers your skill level on each crop when it is planted, but only for crops

placed through the game's normal placement code. PlantEasily places the extra grid crops

through its own code, so Farming never sees them. Farming's own multi-plant feature still

works, which is why the crop you click plus one or two neighbours are fine and the rest

are not.

This patch fills in the missing skill level on those crops. On the server it does so as the

crops arrive from the client; on a client it does so at the moment PlantEasily places them.

Limitations

  • If the host of a non-dedicated (Steam-invite) game plants a grid, they need the mod on

their client; the server-side fix only sees crops sent over the network.

  • Berry bushes, mushrooms and other pickables planted with the cultivator are not affected,

because Farming doesn't boost those either.

Compatibility

Built against Farming 2.2.3 and PlantEasily 2.2.0. Both mods are hooked by reflection, so

minor updates should keep working; if a hook goes missing after an update the log says so.

Credits

This is only a small bridge between two mods that do all the real work. Go support them:

  • Farming by Smoothbrain.

The skill, the growth and yield bonuses.

  • PlantEasily by Advize.

The grid planting and bulk harvest.

This patch contains no code from either mod; it only hooks their public behaviour with

Harmony. If either author ships a native fix, this mod becomes unnecessary and will be

retired.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin

  1. The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
  2. Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
  3. Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
  4. Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.

Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.

Install these first, or the mod will not work:
