Update

This is the Valheim 1.0+ updated version for EquipWheel by virtuaCode.

The Update for the original MoreEquipWheels is also available.

In comparison to the Valheim 1.0 vanilla equip wheel, this mod offers faster, configrable, row based selection without clicks.

Overview

This mod adds an user interface for equipping/using items in an easier and faster way. The menu will be visible by holding the 'G' key (can be changed). On gamepads it's the 'Use' button (X or A on Xbox Controllers) by default. (Can be changed to the 'Sit' Button or Left/Right button on the D-Pad.)

To trigger equipping, release the Hotkey after selecting an item. (When TriggerOnRelease = true)

To trigger equipping, press the left mouse button after selecting an item. (When TriggerOnClick = true)

If you equip an one-handed weapon, the shield (if available) will be equipped automatically.

The mod allows also to choose a different inventory row to use for the equip wheel.

The top-left hotkey bar can be optionally disabled.

Info: This mod should only be installed on the client side.

Requirements (Manual Installation)

BepInEx Modloader must be installed. Can be found here:

To install the mod just move the downloaded EquipWheel.dll to the \BepInEx\plugins\ folder.

Config

A config file will be created after running the game once while the mod is installed:

\BepInEx\config\virtuacode.valheim.equipwheel.cfg

Update for Valheim 1.0+:

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin

  1. The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
  2. Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
  3. Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
  4. Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.

Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.

Dependencies

Install these first, or the mod will not work:
