Dude, What Are My Stats?
Early alpha. Your stats on one key press, and a scoreboard of everyone you play with.
- Press I anywhere to open the panel. No inventory, no menus, no clicking through a compendium.
- The game pauses while you read, exactly as far as the ESC menu would.
- The Scoreboard tab ranks everyone who runs this mod, online now or not. Click a column to sort by it.
- The Details tab breaks one player's stats into sections, with their skills and the creatures
they have killed most.
- It records what kills you -- which creature, what it was holding, and everyone else who was
in the fight. Valheim never writes that down.
- Optionally, a small always-on player list with everyone's death count.
Install it on your own game and the server needs nothing: everyone online who also runs the mod
shows up. Install it on the server as well and the board also remembers players who are not
online, each marked with how long ago they were last seen. Players without the mod never appear.
The scoreboard
| Column | What it is |
|---|---|
| Player | Your own row is gold and marked (you). Anyone not online is marked with how long ago they were last seen, such as (2d ago). |
| Kills | Every creature you have killed. |
| Deaths | Every death. |
| K/D | Kills per death. With no deaths yet this is simply your kill count, the way scoreboards usually show it. |
| Bosses | Boss kills. |
| Played | Active play time. Valheim only counts this while you are moving about, so it runs behind wall-clock time, and standing in a base AFK adds nothing. |
| Nemesis | The creature that has killed you most, and how often. Empty until the mod has watched a death: see below. |
| Best skill | Your highest skill and its level. |
Click any row to open that player's Details. Click a column header to sort by it, and again to
flip the direction. The sort is remembered between sessions.
Offline rows say how old they are. A player who is online answers for themselves, so their
numbers are current. Anyone else is shown from the server's last record of them, marked (2d ago)
or similar, so nobody argues over a number that turns out to be a fortnight stale. If the server
does not run the mod there is nowhere to keep those records, and the board shows only the players
online to answer.
What killed you
Valheim counts your deaths and sorts them by category -- enemy hit, fall, drowning -- but it never
records which creature. So this watches your fights as they happen, and when you lose one it
writes down what happened.
The Nemesis column and the Killed by table in Details are the short version: a running tally
of what has killed this character, most often first. Falls, drowning, lava and the edge of the world
are in the same table, so it accounts for every death it saw. It starts empty, since there is no old
record to read: deaths from before this was installed show as Not recorded rather than leaving the
table quietly short.
The long version is the last few deaths in full, printed by dwams_deaths:
just now - 1-star Troll (Troll club), with 12 others in the fight (day 84, Black Forest)
blow: 94 damage (blunt 94), EnemyHit, unblockable
you: 125 max health, 41 armor, holding Iron sword, Rested + Wet
fight: 38s, 9 hit(s) taken, worst 94, 61 stamina blocking
killed you: 1-star Troll: 94 damage, 1 hit(s)
Greydwarf: 22 damage, 2 hit(s), 4 blocked, 31 stamina
Greydwarf Shaman: 14 damage (inferred), 1 hit(s)
Greydwarf: 6 blocked, 18 stamina
Greydwarf: on you 22s
Everything in the fight is in there, not just the killer. Ten greydwarves that surround you and
drain your stamina are part of why the troll got you, so each is listed with what it actually did:
damage dealt, blows you blocked and what they cost in stamina, blows you dodged, and how long it had
you in its sights. One that never landed a blow still appears, marked as having been there. The
In the fight table in Details counts those over time, so you can see which creature keeps turning
up at your deaths
Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
