Dragon Egg Quality Recipe
Dragon Egg Quality Recipe is a small Valheim BepInEx plugin that adds an Artisan Table recipe for upgrading normal Dragon Eggs into quality 2 Dragon Eggs.
It was made for setups where Elemental Dragons recipes show the Dragon Egg requirement as available, but crafting still fails because the egg has the wrong internal quality.
What It Adds
- Crafting station: Artisan Table
- Input: 2x Dragon Egg
- Output: 1x Dragon Egg with quality 2
The crafted egg is equivalent to spawning one with:
spawn DragonEgg 1 2
Why This Exists
Some Dragon Egg recipes, especially in Elemental Dragons setups, can reject normal world-spawned Dragon Eggs because their internal item quality does not satisfy the recipe check.
This plugin gives players a normal crafting path to convert two regular Dragon Eggs into one upgraded egg, without using console commands.
Installation
Install with r2modman, Mod Manager, or Gale.
For manual installation, place DragonEggQualityRecipe.dll in:
BepInEx/plugins/
Compatibility
- Requires BepInExPack Valheim.
- Designed for Valheim.
- Intended to help with Elemental Dragons egg crafting, but does not require Elemental Dragons to load.
Notes
This does not change Elemental Dragons recipes directly. It only adds a new conversion recipe for Dragon Eggs.
Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
