About this mod Author’s original text

DiscoveryFeed

Client-side plugin. Once per second it compares your character's known recipes, build pieces,

crafting stations (with level), materials, trophies and biomes with the previous check and sends

anything new to the server immediately, so a server can post "X learned Y" live instead of waiting

for the next character save.

It also reports crafting: items crafted or upgraded at any crafting station (with the station

and its level, including upgrade failures and breaks) and fermenter taps. Crafting is aggregated for

a few seconds, so crafting 50 arrows one by one becomes one entry.

It needs a server plugin that handles the DiscoveryFeed_Learned and DiscoveryFeed_Crafted routed RPCs. On a server

without one the message is simply ignored and nothing else changes.

Required on the server and every client (Jötunn network compatibility EveryoneMustHaveMod,

minor-version strict): a client without DiscoveryFeed, or with a different minor version, is rejected

on join, so the feed is complete for every player.

Nothing is sent when you join or respawn (a baseline is taken first), and nothing is sent in

single-player.

  • kurtar - if you are stuck inside rock, a building or terrain, moves you straight up to the first free spot (max 50 m). Everyone.
  • esyakurtar - items within 30 m that fell under the ground are picked straight into your inventory; if there is no room, they are put at your feet. Everyone.
  • karakterkaydet - saves your character to the server vault right now (no world save; with RunicCharacterVault). Everyone.
  • duyuru, restart / restart iptal, kaydet, yedekler, durum, sandiklar [player] - admin commands; need the HuginRelay

server plugin, which checks adminlist.txt.

Changelog

  • 1.2.4 - esyakurtar picks rescued items into your inventory (no room: at your feet, now also correct for flametal/flametal ore, which float on lava through a separate physics body); each rescue is logged with item, depth, owner and speed. Compatible with 1.2.3.
  • 1.2.3 - sandiklar [player] admin command: every personal chest with owner, position and contents (read only; needs the updated server plugin). Only admins need this version.
  • 1.2.2 - karakterkaydet console command (save your character to the server now; 30 s cooldown).
  • 1.2.1 - F5 console commands: kurtar, esyakurtar (everyone); duyuru, restart, kaydet, yedekler, durum (admins, via the server plugin).
  • 1.2.0 required on server and all clients (Jötunn version check)
  • 1.1.0 crafting feed (crafts, upgrades, upgrade failures/breaks, fermenter taps)
  • 1.0.0 first release

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin

  1. The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
  2. Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
  3. Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
  4. Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.

Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
