DafoertNite Patches
Client-side compatibility fixes between Valheim storage and crafting mods.
Each fix only switches on when both mods it connects are installed. Each one can be turned off in BepInEx/config/dafoertnite.patches.cfg.
Fixes
VSS + modded containers
VSS only links vanilla chests and barrels. With this fix, it also links containers from other mods that players build with the hammer, such as the OdinsKingdom Large Wood Crate.
These are never linked:
- carts and ship storage
- graves
- the Obliterator, which destroys its contents
- world-generated chests
Install on every player. The server doesn't need it.
| Setting | Default | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Enabled | true | Turns the fix on or off. |
| ExtraPrefabs | (empty) | Comma-separated prefab names to always link. |
| ExcludedPrefabs | (empty) | Comma-separated prefab names to never link. |
| LogContainerPrefabs | false | Logs each container prefab name once, to help fill in the lists above. |
If VSS gains built-in support for modded containers, this fix turns itself off.
MultiCraft + ChestNetwork
MultiCraft only counts your inventory when working out how many items you can craft. Because of that, the + button greys out even when ChestNetwork chests hold the materials.
With this fix, MultiCraft uses ChestNetwork's own count, including ChestNetwork's server settings. Each craft already takes materials through ChestNetwork, so nothing else changes.
This only affects your own crafting window. Players without the fix keep the old behavior.
Installation
Install with r2modman, or copy plugins/DafoertNitePatches.dll into BepInEx/plugins.
This mod replaces the older VSS Container Bridge and Inventory Harmonizer. Remove those if you have them.
Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
