Crafting Categories
Adds a sidebar to every crafting station (and hand crafting) that sorts recipes by the mod that added them.
Vanilla recipes go to Valheim, every installed content mod gets its own category, automatically, with no configuration.
Features
- Categories by mod. All · Valheim · one button per mod (alphabetical) · Other mods.
Works with Jötunn mods and with mods that don't use Jötunn (ItemManager-based mods such as Therzie's, Southsil's, blacks7ar's and others), because the source mod is detected with Jötunn's ModQuery.
- Mod icons and counts. Each button shows the mod's icon and how many of its recipes are available at the current station.
- NEW recipes. Recipes you unlock get a green NEW badge until you select them, and category buttons show +N, so you can see which mod just gave you something new.
Right-click a category to mark all of its recipes as seen. Stored per character.
- Craftable only. One click hides everything you can't craft right now.
- Search (Ctrl+F), with optional search in ingredients. Game hotkeys are blocked while typing.
Turned off automatically when Workstation Search is installed, since that mod already adds one.
- Mod tags. In All, modded recipes get a small · ModName tag.
- Remembers the selected category per crafting station.
- Vanilla crafting logic is untouched: the mod only filters the list the game builds, so upgrades, gamepad navigation and other crafting mods keep working.
Multiplayer
Client-side only. It works on any server, including servers that don't have it, and other players don't need it.
Installing it on a dedicated server is harmless; it detects the headless server and does nothing.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
