ConvenientCrafting

v1.4.7·Updated 2026-10-06

When crafting/building, materials are automatically pulled from nearby containers to automatically replenish fuel and raw materials for furnaces, charcoal kilns and other processing equipment. It includes convenient functions such as oversized backpacks and equipment rows, batch collection and planting, ship acceleration and map ship markings, quick access, item locking and recycling, merchant compass, underworld fire light enhancement, abyssal gun to tame creatures, etc. The main menu is equipped with a "Setup Wizard" that allows you to check functions and values in a questionnaire style, eliminating the need to flip through configuration items one by one.

  • Installation
  • First install BepInEx 5 (the Valheim-specific packaged version is enough; it will be automatically installed with the mod manager).
  • Put ConvenientCrafting.dll in the plugins in the package into BepInEx/plugins/, or a subfolder.
  • As of 1.4.5 this mod no longer requires YamlDotNet.dll (whitelist parsing is built in), only this one dll is required. The YamlDotNet.dll left over from the old version remains unaffected and can also be deleted.
  • Start the game. If "Welcome to Laze's convenient craft mod" appears in the log, the installation is successful.
  • Multiplayer games: The server and all clients must install this mod, and the version numbers must be consistent, otherwise you will be prompted for version incompatibility.

⚠️ Upgrading from 1.3.1 or earlier: First delete the old file Laze: Convenience Craft.dll in BepInEx/plugins/ and then put the new one. The existence of two dlls at the same time will cause this mod to be loaded twice.

  • Where is the configuration and how to change it?

| What do you want to change | Where to change |

| --- | --- |

| Switches, values, keys | Press F1 in the game to open the configuration manager; or edit BepInEx/config/lanlng_BianJieGongYi.cfg |

| Pull whitelist (which boxes are allowed to be pulled) | BepInEx/config/Lazy Lase: Convenient Crafts/lanlng_BianJieGongYi.yml, save it and it will take effect without restarting |

| There are too many functions and I don’t know where to start | Main menu → "Convenient process setting wizard", follow the questionnaire to check (see below) |

Don’t want to flip through configuration items? Use the "Setup Wizard"

There is an additional "Convenient Process Setting Wizard" in the main menu button column. When you click it, you will first see a one-screen mod introduction (what this mod does, how to navigate the wizard, which file to write changes to, and the author and communication group).

The main body of the wizard is two-column:

  • Left column = list of all functional sections (quick pull, stacking capacity, batch operation, fishing... 13 in total, totaling 143 switches and sliders). Click on the right column to cut through it. Just click on which section you want to match without having to turn page after page. After the section name, it indicates how many items the section has opened.
  • Right column = content of the current section. The upper line of each entry is the function name, and the lower line is the description in small characters (the description will automatically wrap to new lines, and the lines will also grow taller). Click the switch; the lower half will directly display the value slider related to this section - no need to switch to other processes. Just click on the next section after matching one section.

If there is too much content on both sides, you can scroll and view it: there is a thin slider on the right side of each column, which can be dragged, or you can stop the mouse in the column and scroll the wheel (one grid per row). The slider will automatically hide when the content fits on one screen.

The checked state defaults to your current configuration, so nothing will change if you just take a look and make no changes.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin

  1. The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
  2. Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
  3. Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
  4. Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.

Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
