About this mod Author’s original text
Configurable Trophies
A lightweight Valheim mod created by 7Nicc that allows you to easily adjust or increase the drop rates of creature trophies across all biomes.
Made for use in Valheim 1.0, not sure if I'll update any further.
Thanks for checking out my mod! Made using Gemini.
Features
- Custom Drop Rates: Overrides default vanilla trophy drop chances to a configurable percentage.
- Default Balance: Sets base trophy drop chance to 50% (0.5) out of the box.
- Server Compatible: Works seamlessly on both client and dedicated server setups.
Installation
- Ensure BepInEx for Valheim is installed.
- Place ConfigurableTrophies.dll into your BepInEx/plugins/ directory (or install directly via Gale Mod Manager).
- Launch the game once to generate the configuration file.
Configuration
To adjust the trophy drop rate, open BepInEx/config/com.nicc.configurabletrophies.cfg in a text editor:
- TrophyDropChance: Controls the drop chance for all creature trophies.
- 0.0 = 0% drop chance (No trophy drops)
- 0.5 = 50% drop chance (Default setting)
- 1.0 = 100% drop chance (Guaranteed trophy drop)
Note: For dedicated servers, ensure both the server and connecting clients have matching configuration files.
Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
