Configurable Max Carry Weight
Fork of zientix/valheim-maxcarryweight that adds a configuration file to control the player's maximum carry weight instead of hardcoding it to 9999.
This mod is intended for use with BepInEx and r2modman.
Features
- Configurable maximum carry weight via BepInEx config file.
- Default value set to 9999, but can be changed to any positive float.
- Simple implementation that patches Player.UpdateStats to apply the configured value.
Installation (r2modman)
- Install and open r2modman for Valheim.
- Search for Configurable Max Carry Weight inside r2modman.
- Install the mod (and let r2modman handle all dependencies like denikson-BepInExPack_Valheim).
- Select your profile with the mod enabled and press Start modded.
Configuration
After first launch with the mod enabled, BepInEx will create:
\BepInEx\config\br.fefo.configurablemaxcarryweight.cfg
Config options:
- Section: General
- Key: MaxCarryWeight
- Type: Single (float)
- Default: 9999
Example:
[General]
Maximum carry weight for the player.
Setting type: Single
Default value: 9999
MaxCarryWeight = 500
Set MaxCarryWeight to any positive value you want.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
