Customisable Feather Cape
A lightweight, fully customizable mod that rebalances and buffs (or de-buffs) the FeatherFall Cape. All options are fully customisable within the config so you can decide how punishing or helpful the cape is!
Default Features -
No Fire Weakness: Removes the innate +100% vulnerability to fire damage. Can be disabled to keep the very weak to fire.
Frost Resistance: keeps the passive cold protection (safe in Mountains and at night). Can also be turned off if wanted.
Fall Speed Cap: Glides at a controlled 3 m/s (customizable). Now you can decide how fast or slow you fall!
Zero Fall Damage: Fall damage is completely negated. Like the default cape but this can also be disabled if desired.
+20% Jump Height: Gives higher jumps while worn. Change to your hearts content
-20% Jump Stamina Usage: Uses less stamina per jump by however much you like.
+10% Etir Regen: Slightly boosts magic regeneration. For all the mages out there, also customisable!
Configuration
All values can be modified in BepInEx/config/com.Betablockr.feathercapebuff.cfg
Installation
Install using r2modman Manager or place FeatherCapeBuff.dll into your Valheim/BepInEx/plugins folder.
Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
