Features
- Food UI backgrounds are colored based on food type:
- Red: health-dominant
- Yellow: stamina-dominant
- Blue: eitr-dominant
- White: mixed
- Uses Valheim's food type colors (the fork symbol displayed on food icons in the inventory).
But why?
Colored Food UI helps you visualize your diet mix at a glance using recognizable colored backgrounds.
You immediately know what type of food is running out soon or what is currently missing, which is particularly helpful when your mix uses food with different durations and they run out in combat at different intervals.
Compatibility with other mods
Colored Food UI recolors the vanilla food UI backgrounds and may conflict with UI mods that change the food UI.
It should work transparently with everything else, including UI mods that do change the food UI and mods that add new food items.
Feel free to report any issue you find.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
