- default duration is 1 minute
- you can also configure custom status effect to apply when main protection is over
All config values are server synced.
Cooldown
Cheat Death ability takes some time to recover. This time is tied to the world where you died. It means player will have different cooldown in different worlds.
There is console command setcheatdeathcooldown [seconds] to manually set cooldown.
Cooldown is based on a world time by default. It could be changed to use global real time instead.
Icon replace
Put file CheatDeath.png next to plugin main file CheatDeath.dll and it will be loaded as status effect icon instead of regular skull icon.
Installation (manual)
copy CheatDeath.dll to your BepInEx\Plugins\ folder.
Incompatibility
Mod should be compatible with anything.
Configurating
The best way to handle configs is Configuration Manager.
Or Official BepInEx Configuration Manager.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
