Cartur's Mining
More to the Pickaxes skill you already have: hit deposits harder, get more ore out of them, and
once you're good enough, sometimes bring a whole deposit down in one blow.
Inspired by Smoothbrain's Mining
(deprecated in 2026) - credit to Smoothbrain for the idea. This is a separate mod, written from
scratch for Valheim 1.0; it shares no code with theirs.
What it does
Everything builds on the game's own Pickaxes skill. There is no second skill to grind.

| any | More pickaxe damage on ore and rock - double at 100, on top of the game's own skill bonus. |
| any | More from every deposit - copper, silver, tin, obsidian, stone - double at 100. |
| 50 | A small chance (1 hit in 50) that a hit shatters the whole deposit at once, every chunk dropping its ore. |
Ctrl + T turns shattering off and on, for when you want a deposit to last.

| ShatterChance | 0.02 | Chance per hit, once you have the level. |
| EnforceVersion | true | On a server, refuse clients on a different version. |
| ShatterKey | Ctrl + T | Turns shattering off and on. |
Install it on the server too and its numbers apply to everyone. The key stays your own.
Install
r2modman or Mod Manager, or drop CarturMining.dll into BepInEx/plugins.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
