BuildIt Tweaks
BuildIt Tweaks is a lightweight configuration companion for the BuildIt mod by RockerKitten.
It allows server administrators to customize and control which pieces from BuildIt (prefabs starting with rk_) are available in-game — with full server-side configuration sync and support for runtime tweaks.
✨ Features
- 🔧 Enable or disable individual BuildIt pieces
- 🧱 Set custom piece categories (e.g. Misc, Furniture, Crafting, etc.)
- 🛠️ Assign required crafting stations per piece
- 📦 Customize build costs with item:amount format
- 🌐 Fully synced via ServerSync
- 🔁 Support for dynamic config reloads — no relog required
- ⚙️ Integrates with BepInEx ConfigurationManager (Azumatt’s fork recommended)
📦 Credits
- Original mod: BuildIt by RockerKitten
- Tweaks, logic, and configuration: Crowigor
📂 Config Location
The config file is auto-generated and located at:
BepInEx/config/com.crowigor.buildittweaks.cfg
All piece settings are grouped by prefab name for clarity.
⚠️ Known Issues
- After enabling or disabling a piece, Valheim needs to be restarted to update the hammer menu properly.
- 🔄 Categories and station filters are applied immediately.
- 🪚 However, the in-game UI cache only refreshes on relog or game restart.
- 💡 Tip: Configure all required pieces first, then restart the game for changes to take full effect.
We’re investigating a way to trigger the hammer menu refresh at runtime. Stay tuned!
Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
