Disclaimer:
Most of mods I work with are some old and outdated ones that their authors haven't updated so far to match 1.0. I am not a professional modder myself, but I am good with coding and gaming. BreedingUpgrades
A Valheim mod that gives offspring of your tamed creatures a rare chance to spawn with an extra star.
Fork/update of Dumba's BreedingUpgrades, maintained for Valheim 1.0.x.
GitHub: DaiMinhTri/BreedingUpgrades
Features
Star Upgrades
Offspring have a configurable percentage chance (default 5%) to gain a star level when born.
Egg Support
Works for both mammals (Wolves, Lox, Boars, Moose) and egg-layers (Chickens, Asksvin). Eggs are intercepted during procreation and upgraded in the same roll.
Moose (Deep North)
Moose uses the standard Tameable/Procreation components, so star upgrades apply to calves and carry over when they grow up.
Server-Side Control
Configuration is locked by default and synced from the server using embedded ServerSync. Clients cannot change settings unless the server allows it.
Breeding Limits (On by Default)
Configurable population cap per species. When enabled, breeding stops when the species limit is reached nearby. Supports Boars, Wolves, Lox, Chickens, Moose, and Asksvin.
Search Radius
Per-species control over how far the mod checks for nearby creatures when counting population and finding mates. Both the population check range and partner check range can be configured independently per species.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
