About this mod Author’s original text

Bragi — Viking Music Mod for Valheim

"Bragi is best known for his wisdom and is most eloquent, and has the gift of eloquence to an unusual degree."

— Prose Edda, Snorri Sturluson

Bragi adds historically-grounded Viking-era musical instruments to Valheim. Craft a Lyre, Bone Flute, or Jaw Harp, equip it, and perform Norse songs around the longhouse fire. Nearby players in multiplayer will hear your music in 3D spatial audio. Bards are rewarded with the Skald's Blessing — a stamina regen bonus for the whole party.

Features

  • 🎻 3 Craftable Instruments — Lyre, Bone Flute, Jaw Harp (more coming in v1.1)
  • 🎵 6 Default Songs — Curated Viking-era inspired tracks
  • 🌐 Multiplayer Sync — Other players hear your music within configurable range
  • ✨ Skald's Blessing — Bard buff: +15% stamina regen for nearby allies while playing
  • 📂 Extensible Song System — Drop any.ogg +.json pair into the songs folder to add custom music

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin

  1. The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
  2. Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
  3. Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
  4. Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.

Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
