BowSecondaryMultishot
Gives bows a secondary attack, just like melee weapons have. Hold the secondary attack key with a bow
equipped to draw and fire a volley of several arrows instead of one just like in the Elder Cutszene.
The key is whatever you have bound as the secondary attack in the game's control settings (middle
mouse button by default), so if you rebind it, the multishot follows.
Features
- Fires 2 arrows at the start and 1 more arrow for every 25 bow skill levels:
| Bow skill | Arrows per volley |
|-----------|-------------------|
| 0 - 24 | 2 |
| 25 - 49 | 3 |
| 50 - 74 | 4 |
| 75 - 99 | 5 |
| 100 | 6 |
- Every arrow fired, consumes one arrow from inventory.
- Every arrow that hits gives bow skill XP
- Multishot arrows fly at half the normal arrow speed by default, so the multishot is a close-range attack
- Multishot has inbuild spread
Configuration
Settings are in BepInEx/config/com.example.bowsecondarymultishot.cfg and show up in the
Valheim Configuration Manager.
| Setting | Default | What it does |
|---------|---------|--------------|
| LevelsPerExtraArrow | 25 | Every x bow skill levels adds one more arrow |
| MaxArrows | 6 | Hard cap on arrows per volley |
| Spread | 1.5 | Spread in degrees added to the bow's normal accuracy (0 = as tight as a normal shot) |
| ArrowSpeedMultiplier | 0.5 | Arrow speed relative to a normal shot (1 = same speed). Slower arrows drop faster |

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
