Client-Side Auto Parry
A lightweight, 100% client-side Valheim mod that guarantees a perfect parry every time you are attacked while blocking.
No more frustrating timing windows or server lag ruining your parries. Just raise your shield and defend!
✨ Features
- Perfect Parries: Automatically triggers a flawless parry whenever an enemy strikes your shield or blocking weapon.
- Server-Safe (100% Client-Side): This mod only runs on your local game client. It does not need to be installed on the server, making it fully compatible with public or dedicated vanilla servers.
- Lag Proof: Because calculations are handled entirely on your end, network desync or server latency won't cause you to miss a parry window.
🕹️ How It Works
Instead of trying to predict enemy attack frames, the mod patches the game's internal BlockAttack calculations. When a hit lands, if you are actively holding the block key (default: Right-Click), the mod adjusts the local client state so the vanilla parry mechanic triggers.
This plays the correct visual and audio effects, and staggers the attacker just like a manual parry.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
