About this mod Author’s original text

AreaRepair

Repair damaged building pieces in a configurable area with one hammer action.

AreaRepair follows Valheim's normal repair rules, costs, permissions, effects,

and multiplayer synchronization.

Features

  • Configurable repair radius, with a default of 7.5 metres.
  • Repairs the nearest damaged pieces first.
  • Configurable safety limit for large bases.
  • Ignores generated ruins and other non-player pieces by default.
  • Hold Left Alt to temporarily use normal single-piece repair.
  • Server-controlled gameplay settings.
  • Required version validation for servers and clients.
  • Standard ConfigurationManager interface on F1.
  • Repair-count notifications in all officially supported Valheim languages.

Requirements

  • Valheim 1.0.
  • BepInExPack Valheim 5.4.2350.
  • ConditionalConfigSync 1.0.9.
  • ConfigurationManager 1.1.21.

-compatible mod managers install these dependencies automatically.

Installation

Mod manager

Install AreaRepair using a compatible mod manager and launch

the selected profile.

Manual installation

Install all requirements, then place AreaRepair.dll in:

BepInEx/plugins/AreaRepair/AreaRepair.dll

Remove or disable other area-repair mods before starting the game.

Multiplayer

AreaRepair and ConditionalConfigSync must be installed on the server and every

client. Connecting clients must use a compatible AreaRepair version.

The server controls gameplay settings. Client-local settings, such as the

single-repair key and repair-count notification, remain individual for each

player.

Configuration

Open ConfigurationManager with F1 and select AreaRepair.

Troubleshooting

If the mod does not load or repair pieces, check BepInEx/LogOutput.log and

verify that AreaRepair and its dependencies use the same versions on the

server and clients.

When reporting an issue, include:

  • AreaRepair version;
  • Valheim version;
  • host, dedicated-server, or remote-client status;
  • relevant lines from BepInEx/LogOutput.log.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin

  1. The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
  2. Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
  3. Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
  4. Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.

Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
