ArcanumEitr
Disable damaging projectiles from Eitr refineries and dropped Eitr with independent settings. Inspired by No Eitr Projectiles by joryjuky_team.
About this mod Author’s original text
ArcanumEitr
Keep your base safe from damaging Eitr projectiles. Independently disable emissions from Eitr refineries and dropped refined Eitr. Both are disabled by default.
Refinery recipes, processing speed, capacity, and unrelated projectiles remain unchanged.

Inspired by No Eitr Projectiles by joryjuky_team.
The original mod established this focused feature and the Radiator.OnEnable patch approach. ArcanumEitr is a separately written replacement with safer object detection, independent settings, and optional diagnostics. Thank you to joryjuky_team for the original idea and implementation. This is an independent project, not an official update or endorsed release of the original mod.
Installation
Disable or uninstall No Eitr Projectiles first. ArcanumEitr declares it incompatible to prevent both plugins loading together.
Install through Gale, r2modman, or Mod Manager. The BepInEx dependency is listed in the package.
For manual installation, install BepInEx for Valheim, then copy this package's BepInEx folder into your Valheim directory. The DLL belongs in BepInEx/plugins/ArcanumEitr.
For multiplayer, install on all participating clients and the dedicated server with matching settings. Server-only installation is not sufficient: the peer owning the object runs its projectile behavior. Configuration is local and is not automatically synchronized or enforced.
Configuration
Launch once to generate BepInEx/config/arcanum.eitr.cfg:
[Projectiles]
DisableDroppedEitrProjectiles = true
DisableRefineryProjectiles = true
[Diagnostics]
LogDetection = false
Set either projectile option to false to restore vanilla behavior for that source. Restart the game/server after changing settings. Live toggling and plugin unloading are not supported.
Enable LogDetection to log each distinct detected hierarchy and decision once per session. Look for ArcanumEitr 1.0.0 active in BepInEx/LogOutput.log to confirm loading.
Compatibility
Built against Valheim 1.0.16. In-game testing was reported successful for this release. This does not claim verification of every multiplayer ownership scenario or other mod combination.
Detection checks exact object names and item/refinery components while walking the object's parents, stopping at the nearest network object. Unrecognized emitters retain vanilla behavior. Mods that rename or restructure Eitr prefabs may require additional support.
When reporting a problem, include your Valheim version, mod list, configuration, and BepInEx log with LogDetection enabled.
Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
