Arcade Helper (Valheim QoL & Utilities)
A comprehensive Quality of Life (QoL) and base management mod for Valheim with full in-game configuration via F1 (Configuration Manager).
Features
- 3D Floating Chest Labels
- Name any chest without placing wooden signs!
- Press Alt + E (or your custom key) while looking at a chest to enter a name.
- Supports Unity rich text color tags (e.g. Gold, Food).
- Floating text automatically aligns and includes configurable Height and Forward offsets in F1 (perfect for compact/embedded chests).
- Floating Portal Names
- Displays clean, glowing 3D floating portal destination names in the center of portals from a distance.
- Configurable view distance, text size, and colors via F1.
- Waypoint Beacon & 3D Navigation HUD
- Middle-click any pin on the map to start navigation.
- Projects a sky-high light beacon and on-screen directional 3D indicators (Left, Right, In Front, Behind).
- Auto-clears when you arrive at your destination or with F3.
- Smart Auto-Feeder Chests
- Toggle any chest as an Auto-Feeder with F.
- Smelters, kilns, and blast furnaces automatically pull coal, wood, and ores ONLY from designated feeder chests within range.
- 100% Ward Base Protection
- Complete damage immunity inside active Ward (Guardian Stone) radii against all enemy attacks (protects buildings, chests, carts, players, and pets).
- Automatic Death Pin Cleanup
- Automatically removes the skull death pin from the map once you recover your grave tombstone.
- Trader Auto-Discovery
- Automatically pinpoints Haldor, Hildir, and Bog Witch once you join the world.
Configuration (In-Game F1)
All features can be toggled and customized live in-game using BepInEx Configuration Manager (F1):
- Portals: Distance slider, Color Picker, Font Size.
- Chests: Rename hotkey, Distance slider, Vertical & Forward offsets, Color Picker.
- Navigation: Beacon light toggle, Color Picker, Arrival distance.
- Auto-Feeder: Feeder radius slider, Coal & Ore toggles.
- Protection: Ward immunity toggles for structures/players/pets.
- Player: Extra carry weight slider (0-1000kg), death pin cleaner toggle.
Installation
- Install BepInEx for Valheim.
- Place ArcadeHelper.dll into your BepInEx/plugins/ folder (or install directly via your mod manager).
- Works on both Client and Dedicated Server!
Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
