About this mod Author’s original text
AOEMining
AOEMining adds optional area-of-effect mining to Valheim.
Features
- Hold Left Shift while mining to activate AOE mining.
- Without Left Shift, mining behaves normally.
- AOE radius scales linearly with the Pickaxes skill:
- Skill 0: 1 m
- Skill 100: 4 m
- Each AOE swing keeps the total pickaxe damage distributed across the affected targets instead of multiplying the damage.
- Current tuning adds +4 total pickaxe damage per AOE swing before the damage is distributed.
Supported targets
AOEMining is intended to affect:
- Stone
- Copper
- Tin
- Silver
- Flametal
- Black Marble
- Mistlands black-marble structures such as skeleton skulls and ribcage pieces
- Old swords / weapon remains in the Mistlands
Excluded:
- Black Metal
- Obsidian
- Muddy Scrap
Installation
Install through a -compatible mod manager, or place:
plugins/AOEMining.dll
into your BepInEx/plugins folder.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
