Achievement Sync
Client-side Valheim mod that keeps Steam achievements working while using mods and console cheats, and syncs previously recorded progress into the achievement track so already completed goals can unlock.
Features
- Steam achievements work with mods, devcommands, cheated items, and cheated world modifiers
- Syncs previously recorded progress (builds, piece removes, crafts, kills, pickups, food, etc.) on character load
- Re-checks achievement unlocks after sync
- Clears the “obtained through cheats” mark from player inventory, loaded containers, and world drops
- Blocks Inventory.ItemCheated checks used by CraftFromContainers-style mods
- Manual resync hotkey: F7 (configurable)
What sync can and cannot restore
Can restore: cumulative stats Valheim already saved — builds, kills, crafts, pickups, food, piece names, etc.
Cannot reconstruct: one-off events that were never written to a persistent marker while achievements were blocked. If Valheim never stored that progress, the mod has nothing to sync.
Install
- Install with r2modman Mod Manager (BepInExPack_Valheim required)
- Or place LiveriaDevs.AchievementSync.dll into BepInEx/plugins/
- Load your character in-game

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
