One reason is that I have only played this game twice, once with Liu Bei and once with Yuan Shu, and then I have been tinkering with the MOD. For many values ​​​​or strategies, I don't have that much time to study how to balance it. This adjustment is in the hope that this MOD can be more perfect, and then the intensity will no longer be as ridiculously high as Jiangshan Beauty.

I haven’t played Total War Three Kingdoms since September 2019. I have been doing MOD testing since then. This time in order to make the MOD of Northern Empire more perfect, I played it again.

To summarize my experience:

• Fortune increases too fast, which leads to the stage of fortune and timing in the early stage. Then there are many diplomatic threats and it is easy to be backstabbed. What I originally thought was that I would improve through constant fighting in the later stages. And even if he continued to fight in the later stages, his fortune did not drop.
• In the early stage, the general refresh pool refreshed slowly, and there were no suitable generals to handle various needs, so some children were added one after another to reach adulthood. (Although this MOD can be used with Jiangshan Beauty, the character of Jiangshan Beauty is too powerful, so Gu made some characters that are not so powerful)
• The GDP bonus is too high. Cooperating with supervision errands, it is easy to go directly to a well-off society. Therefore, the GDP bonus brought by fortune is removed, and the supervision errand is weakened a bit.
• There are not enough positions for spies, prefects, and errands. Because the stage bonuses of general factions are applied, there are no additional prefect positions like Liu Bei and others, so they need to be added.
• The skill auras of Shen Xiang and Yun Xiao need to be out of combat to be useful, so some of the bonuses become meaningless, so the restrictions have been removed.
• Starting from the mid-term, because there are no bonuses like other factions, character satisfaction is generally not high. Therefore, new characters have been added with features that improve the satisfaction of the entire faction.
• The existence of the Overseer's errand is low, so the bonus of the Overseer's errand will be slightly changed, and by the way, the supervision errand will be weakened in conjunction with point 3.
• Others also have the self-built characteristics. The original intention of the design is to make your own faction different, so others don’t have it.

The overall value of each bonus is controlled within 25%, which is not much compared to the bonuses of other factions in the game or the game itself, which can easily reach 50% or 100%. Therefore, adjustments were made based on the above points.

• Weaken Yun Xiao’s numerical value, because I suddenly realized that Yun Xiao originally used Lu Bu’s skill tree, which is already very powerful, so the current performance is too outstanding.
• Remove the faction leader North's construction time of all factions -1 and GDP +20%, because among the additional characters, 5 characters are specially used to be prefects. If the effects are superimposed, the bonus will be a lot.
• Fixed the problem that the middle skills in Beilan's skill tree cannot be unlocked from below.
• Change the faction flag to a "North" flag with a dragon pattern background, and the words "Ordered by God to live forever" (during battle).
