About this mod Machine translation

Modification of wghost81's popular "ghost mode" MOD. Geralt's next adventure will be even more challenging and deadly in Ghost Mode! Good luck.

Ghost Mode adds an extra layer of difficulty with wghost81's brilliant Ghost Mode mode.

The ghost mode itself functions very well and there are currently no known bugs. The purpose of Ghost Mode is not to continue wghost81's work on Ghost Mode, but to give mod users more ways to solve difficulties than just the "attack harder enemies" approach.

Note: Installing this mod is fairly simple, but still requires you to follow the instructions. I recommend you read the "readme_seriously.txt" document that comes with this mod.

Ghost Mode relies on Ghost Mode and Ready Mode to function properly.

alchemy

Preparing modules is a requirement for ghost mode, otherwise you will have script compilation errors. There are no changes to the in-game options for preparation modules, so feel free to choose your preferred settings.

The only thing changed about Ghost Mode in the prep code is that you can now meditate from the radial menu, and players using the gamepad can exit meditation by pressing the b button.

All potion durations have been increased (mostly around 1 minute and 15 seconds, then 30 seconds for each potion recipe upgrade learned). All potion effects have also been adjusted to better reflect these new durations, while of course maintaining balanced game play.

Toxicity degradation is now about half the speed of vanilla. This means you have to wait longer for it to become toxic enough to spit out more potions. Choose your potions wisely, as only wizards who have mastered alchemy can consume more than 3 at a time.

The toxicity of all decoctions is increased. Unless you have sufficient alchemy skills, you most likely won't be able to consume anything else.

Melee

Simply put, everything hurts harder and hits harder - including Geralt. Combat is faster paced and one wrong step can doom you.

There are a few different factors that go into how much damage is done to Geralt, and enemies can no longer "tick" you with their ridiculous damage. The Drowned and the Nike are just two examples of enemies you'd better focus your energy on.

Entering combat delays stamina by 1 second (from 0.5 seconds)

Enemy NPC

Enemy monsters are randomly generated in size, attack speed, and statistics (within limits of course).

Humanoids also have randomized attack speed and increased stats, but their size does not change.

The enemy scaling algorithm for ghost models has been adjusted. This was a necessary change, not because Ghost Mode was flawed, but because there were never any project-level requirements for Ghost Mode. This new algorithm only adds additional bonuses to enemies if the average item level of the items you equip exceeds Geralt's player level.

NOTE: You can still use any scaling options you want, but they all have this added algorithm.

Some monsters received special attention:

  • Ghosts and Mid/Night Ghosts now have greatly increased attack and movement speed. For them, Eden is an even bigger asset now.
  • Noon/Night ghosts now have life stealing. It's wise to beef up your dodge skills against them.
  • Al Ghul has a chance to poison you if you get hit by them.

-Several different enemies now have a chance to cause bleeding. Such as bears, roundworms, werewolves, etc.

-Werewolves and Catakins now have significantly increased movement speed. However, I heard a rumor about their ability to fight injuries over time.

  • Monsters and monsters take 88% less fire damage.

-Lesen moves faster now.

-All furry animals take 25% fire damage.

  • Drowned ones take 33% fire damage, but they now move faster.
  • Necker moves 25% faster. Someone might gouge your eyes out!

economy

All purchasable premium or DLC armory has been significantly increased in price, so it cannot be abused early on.

A new economic buy-sell pricing algorithm has been implemented to prevent sales prices from spiraling out of control. …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
