About this mod Machine translation
This mod removes the two least detailed presets from the graphics menu and instead adds two new custom presets. These improve the quality of foliage, shadows and other details and can be selected individually in-game. On top of that, we've added the Sweet-FX profile.
For The Witcher 3 v1.07.
Sorry for the lack of updates, I'm a bit busy. The new version removes the dependency on user.settings so you can keep all your predone settings (Hud, post-processing, languages, controls, etc.).
Install:
- Download and install Sweet Fx.
- Protect your old configuration: Move or rename and change the suffix of The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\bin\config\r4game\user_config_matrix\pc\rendering.xml
- Download Mod
- Unzip and copy the contents of the archive to The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\replacing the existing files (the old rendering.xml is included in the archive - so if you didn't do 2), don't sweat it).
- Turn off Fraps, Afterburner and other overlays to prevent sweetfx, reshade related crashes when starting the game. Reactivate while gaming.
- Start the game. You should see Reactivation (Compile Effect...Successful) in the upper left corner of the screen.
- Redo your graphics settings
- Vanilla Ultra is now medium. High and ultra settings are customizable. High-end is for high-end GPUs, Ultra is for ultra-fast OC'd cards or mGPU setups.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
