A new 3.0 configuration, still a true base picture, but offers better contrast, richer colors and a slightly softer image.
This ghosting configuration is the first I've done, almost to get close to the original quality, but provide better contrast, richer colors and soften the image a bit.
It's quite subtle compared to many other plants I've seen visually, but that's because it's meant to compliment the vanilla's appearance rather than completely change it.
In the latter part, I think I did a good job of making the shadow look less harsh, which is a pet peeve of mine in vanilla. It also makes trees in the distance, especially those with dead branches, much better.
The interior scenes were boosted, trying to make the light warmer, I used Atmospheric Night and it does look good indoors.
The main modes used in the screenshots besides ghosting are Atmospheric Lighting and Character Fixed Lighting, both of which are excellent, and the remaining modes are shown below.
In terms of installation, you need to start with 3.0
As far as importing presets, itsagundam just made a video (for mafia.
I tried it with the wizard and it worked exactly the same, so I'll follow that tutorial. What it involves is essentially creating a new separate reshade configuration for the switcher and then copying and pasting my configuration into that file.
Check out the screenshots for comparison, and there should be a video showing the differences soon.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
