introduce
I really enjoyed playing with the mods mentioned above, but they were also outdated and at some point caused bugs in the game that made it almost impossible for me to continue playing. So, I felt the need to learn how to customize antimicro and update the commands to version 1.31 (the latest version) of Witcher 3. I took the opportunity to remap some commands. I hope this is good for you too.
command
LB = Character Igni
RT + LB = Character Yrden
RT + Ŷ =Character Quen
RT + X =Character AARD
RT + A = Character Axii
LT + RT = Radial Menu
[HOLD] Orientation upward = Drink Potion 1
[HOLD] Orientation Down =Drink Potion 2
RT + [HOLD] Direction number up = Drinking potion 3 RT + [HOLD] Direction number down = Drinking potion 4 [HOLD] Left thumb button = Switch Hud [HOLD] Right thumb button
= Gwent deck
Xbox Guide Button =View missions
[HOLD] Xbox Guide Button =Quick Save*
*(optional files for Quicksave only)
[Horse]
RT = Gallop
[swim]
RT or A = Sprint
The remaining commands not mentioned have been left unmodified and will use the game's original configuration.
Install
- Place the 'Input.settings' file into Documents/The Witcher 3. (Make sure this file is set to 'Read Only'!)
- Download and run Antimicro. 'Load' the "Witcher 3 updated commands.gamecontroller.amgp" file.
- In Antimicro click Options > Preferences and uncheck 'Enable Key Repeat'.
- Go to the installed Witcher 3/bin/config/base folder, open HIDDEN.INI and change "LockControlScheme=0" to LockControlScheme=2.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
