About this mod Machine translation
Removed level restrictions for UNdvik armor DLC.
This model removes the level requirements for the UNDVik armor items at levels 16 and 41.
Please note that judging from the XML file in the DLC pack, the level 41 UNDVik set is part of the upcoming "New Game+" mode, so getting it in normal play may be a bug in the DLC.
But anyway, if you've managed to get a set of level 41 armor and want to actually equip it, this mod will allow you to do so.
question
While most device characteristics are easily modifiable in TW3, the lowest level is not. In fact, it is calculated programmatically based on the item's basic statistics. This makes changing it problematic.
It's as if CDPR are saying "You can change anything you want in our game, except don't even think about equipping the legendary UNDVik armor until you hit level 41, you evil fiend." But I digress.
solution
Understanding how programmatic minimum level calculations work is key. Specifically, it only considers the item's "base" stat level (relevant statistics include "Silver Wound" for the Silver Sword, "Blade Wound" for the Steel Sword, and "Armor" for all armor items).
However, the XML syntax allows the "base" statistics of an item to be modified by adding a scalar value or applying a multiplier. Turns out, that's the answer. To remove the minimum level requirement from any item, all you have to do is reduce its associated "base" stat value to 1, then use the "Add" command to raise the value back to its original setting.
This removes the minimum level requirement while keeping the equipment stats that will be applied in the game exactly as they were before.
Prerequisites
You must first install the "Skull Armor Set" DLC before you can install this mod.
Install
Follow the instructions in the "readme.txt" file to install/uninstall this mod.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
