Toxic Black Eyes - Netflix

According to the recent Netflix series trailer, this is a visual pattern that gives Geralt's eyes black, venomous qualities. When the toxicity decreases, the eyes return to normal.

This mod has three components:

The first replaced the professor's glasses, two black orbs that when equipped would cover Geralt's eyeballs, but under his eyelids.

The second is to adjust the Toxic face texture slightly, making the forehead blood vessels between the eyes less prominent, making the eyelids red instead of the default blue, and adding some blood vessels under the lower eyelids.

The third is a modification to the poison script that equips at 50% poison threshold and does not equip black eyes. If you have the overhaul mod installed, it will change toxic.ws and you will need to follow the instructions below.

The first two components can be combined into one of two main files. They are also released separately as modBlackEyes and modToxicFace. Only include these effects if you like one effect but not another.

This mod does not change the texture of Geralt's default eye, so it should be compatible with other eye texture mods.

This mod may not work with mods that change Geralt's head mesh. If the modified head mesh has different eye sockets, the dark eyes can be clamped with eyelids/eyes.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR VANILLA:

1. Download the main mod, unzip the zip file and place the folder modMergedBlackEyes in the mods folder of your Witcher 3 installation directory.

2. Go to [installation directory]\content\content0\scripts\game\gameplay\effects\effects\drain\toxicity.ws. Back up this file

3. Download the vanilla toxicity.ws text file and replace the old toxicity.ws with the modified version.

4. Enable console commands: Go to [Installation Directory]\bin\config\base\. Edit general.ini and add DBGConsoleOn = true as the second line of code

5. Start the game, press '~' to open the console command, and enter additem('q603_magister_glasses'). This will add the Professor's glasses to your inventory. If you replace poison correctly it should automatically equip and

Unequip.w. Install MODDED toxicity instructions.w:

1. Download the mod, unzip the zip file and place the folder modMergedBlackEyes in the mods folder of your Witcher 3 installation directory.

Figure 3(B). If you have a different mod, change toxicity.ws, download the vanilla toxicity.ws text file, and note the two sections consisting of the clip code //BlackEyes-Start and //BlackEyes-End. Copy these from this mod (note their placement) and manually add these sections to the existing toxic.ws in similar locations.

4. Enable console commands: Go to [Installation Directory]\bin\config\base\. Edit general.ini and add DBGConsoleOn = true as the second line of code

5. Launch the game, press '~' to open the console command, and enter additem('q603_magister_glasses'). This will add the Professor's glasses to your inventory. If you replace/edit poison correctly, it should automatically equip and unequip based on poison.

If you want to customize when your eyes darken:

VANILLA: Go to [installation directory]\content\content0\scripts\game\gameplay\effects\effects\drain\

toxicity.ws MODDED:Go to [Installation Directory]\mods\[Mod Folder]\content\scripts\game\gameplay\effects\effects\drain\toxicity.ws

**Backup toxic.ws to make changes**

Find the following line:

Change the two instances of "0.5f" (equivalent to 50% toxicity) to your preferred value (e.g. 0.3f for 30%, 1.0f for 100%, etc.).
