Static Arsenal
武器和装甲的等级为静态、非随机属性浮动。
About this mod Machine translation
Weapon and armor levels are static, non-random attribute floating.
The Witcher 3 uses a lot of randomization to ensure that every piece of equipment you pick up on your journey is unlike anything you've picked up before. One might say that this makes the game easier to replay, but others might say that the vast majority of equipment found is completely useless due to the over-randomization. I really don't like this Diablo-esque looting mechanic in single player, as there's no incentive to trade or show off what you've found to other players. So I set out to solve this problem and here's the result.
feature:
- All attribute buffs on all weapons and armor, such as Bleed, Critical Chance or Axis Strength, have been completely static and will now always default to the highest possible bonus. You will no longer open a chest containing a relic and get a 3% bonus when you know that a specific relic can be bred with a 15% bonus.
-Random damage and random armor values have been turned off. When you pick up a weapon of a certain level, it always does the same damage as another weapon of the same quality and level. It's now impossible to get a bad damage die on a weapon you find. Note that the damage dice used in this mode are not the absolute highest damage you'll find in the vanilla game, but 4-5 damage which is lower (still a bit better than the lowest vanilla damage dice).
-The level of equipment found is now closer to Geralt's level. This is an unintended side effect of static damage and armor values. In a normal game, if you find a level 40 weapon, it's likely that the weapon is around level 33. With this mod, weapons rarely breed below level 37 in the same situation. Don't ask me why, but I like it so this bug is now a feature :)
-Replacement version, only attribute buffs are static, and damage and armor values will not be affected. This will also disable the level "feature".
-Replacement version, only the damage and armor values are static, the attributes are random. The "functional" level should be intact. Used for mods that would conflict in other ways, such as mangekyoumadara1987's "Legacy Weapons Rework".
Install:
Download your preferred version and extract to your switcher 3/mods folder. If the mods folder doesn't exist, just create it first. A new game is not required to enjoy the effects of this mod.
To install a new version, just overwrite the old folder with the new one.
uninstall:
Delete the modstaticarsena folder (or modstaticarsenalalt). As far as I know, this doesn't affect the rescue game at all.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
