Stamina consumption rebalanced
There are three alternative downloads.
Different variants of the mod are incompatible with each other
Install only one
One cuts stamina usage to 0, so the casting mark is no longer affected by stamina (which is a very stupid idea IMO anyway).
Another reduces stamina usage to 25%. This is the one I use, at least on the second hardest mode, and it's not a game breaker. I still die often ;)
I've added a version where the stamina cost is vanilla but the regeneration rate is doubled.
Install:
Just use NMM or unzip the folder into your game's Mods folder.
Yrden bug solution
For those still interested in the cause of the "Yrden bug":
In newer versions of Witcher 3, "geralt_skills.xml" has undergone some changes. In particular, the Yrden flag received a new parameter - "range". So, the easiest way to fix the bug is to add a line: <range type="add" min="2.7"/>
It should look like this:
<! - Yrden - >
<ability name =“magic_3 “>
<tags> magic_3 </ tags>
<stamina_cost type =”add“always_random =”false“min =”51“max =”51“/>
<stamina_delay type =”base“min =”0.5“/>
<stamina_delay type =“mult”min =“2”/>
<trap_duration type =“base”min =“10”/>
<trap_duration type =“mult”min =“1”
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
