About this mod Machine translation
The ghosting effects pre-set to enhance the Wiedzmin lighting module are absolutely glorious wonders. Build from the bottom up using old and new shaders in ReShade, resulting in a vibrant, clean and unique look.
information
This is the ReShade preset I've been using in TW3 and working on taking screenshots since the game launched in 2015. The preset has been ported a lot to the new ReShade build, so it's using some old shaders that you don't see in other presets. Three different Witcher 3 lighting modules, STLM, Elder Blood lighting module and Wiedzmin lighting module all changed the way this configuration ended up looking. Generally speaking, this preset can be used with any of the previous 3 lighting mods, but has been fine-tuned to the current stage of the Wiedzmin Lighting Mod, so it is recommended to use it as a base.
Install
First download and install Wiedzmin Lighting Mod
Then download ReShade from here:
RESHADE 3.0.7
Run the installation tool and follow the instructions.
Now download SmeaGhoul, extract the file and delete the contents of SmeaGhoul folder
\The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt GOTY\bin\x64
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
