About this mod Machine translation
Quen now lasts 5 minutes. Yrden now lasts for 20 seconds, slowing from 50%-100% based on signal strength. Axii now lasts 1 minute.
Quen now lasts 5 minutes. I'm tired of always having to recast Quen even when I'm not getting hit.
Yrden now lasts 20 seconds, with slowdowns ranging from ~50% to ~99% depending on symbol strength. This sign is complete garbage. I need to make it more useful. It also makes it last long enough to be put to good use. (I might want to adjust the duration and max slowdown.) Not sure yet.
Axii now lasts 1 minute. This flag is only useful during dialogue. Now, it can be thrown at an enemy, knocking them out of the fight long enough to make the Axii a viable crowd control tool.
The idea of this mod is to keep as little clutter as possible to keep the original game, while still making seemingly useless symbols actually useful, making symbol building more feasible.
In the future, I may decide to tweak Igni and Aard, as well as Yrden's Lightning Trap, so that the symbol build can output significant DPS. At the same time, I don't want to make the token build more OP than a typical combat/alchemy build, CDPR seems to want to limit us.
Anyway, feel free to make requests or suggestions. This mod is very much a work in progress as I tweak it until it's perfectly balanced.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
