My second attempt at resetting the picture presets. This time using reshade 3.0
Step 1: Install reshade 3 (reshade.me)
Step 2: In the "Rerender Settings" window, click "Select Game", then select switcher3.exe in the x64 folder, then click to select the Direct3D 10+ option, the installer will automatically download the shader and texture, done!
Step 3: Open the game. If everything is normal, press SHIFT=F2 to open a re-shading window. Now click to start the tutorial, continue and click on the + (see above in the gallery) to create a new profile named: roach. Add a random effect, feel free to do so, then set Heavy Shadows to Performance (in the main tab) and then exit the game, this process will create a new empty profile parameter setting in the game directory.
Step 4: Unzip roach and copy roach.ini to the game directory (replace the file), enter the game again and check if the effect is applied. Finish.
Note:
Be sure to raise your gamma a bit in the game. All my post-processing is going on except sharpening, and if that's your usual way, turn it down - it shouldn't make a big difference.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
