What does this mod do?
Realistic Rain can remove the flicker of rain by replacing the rain texture used by Mishikedman in Phoenix Lighting Mod (PLM). This module is designed to achieve this with minimal loss of visual quality. It is specifically used for PLM. There are 3 versions to choose from, with each version explained in detail during the Q&A session. PLM Rain V3 is the recommended version. Before commenting, please see the Q&A section below. How to install:
Witcher 3 Mod Manager (Recommended): Use TW3MM to install the selected version of content and make sure my mod takes priority over the Phoenix Lighting Mod.
Manual: Extract the contents of the selected version to the Witcher 3 game directory. If you don't have custom mod priorities, be sure to put my mod over Phoenix Lighting Mod to ensure my mod is loaded first. The naming scheme (modA_PLM_Fix) should solve this problem for you.
IMPORTANT: If you are trying a different version of my mod, please make sure to delete the previous version before installing the new one!
How to uninstall:
Witcher 3 Mod Manager: Just uninstall the mod like any other. Nothing special.
Manual: Delete the folder modA_PLM_Fix from the "mods" folder in the Witcher 3 game directory.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
