Quick selection of classic skills

This mod redesigns the bottom icon of the skill toggle menu to allow for quick selection and use of items.

This is an unofficial alternative to Quick Radial SelectionMod. This mod redesigns the bottom icons of the radial menu for quick selection and use of items.

This mod is useful for gamepad users (but can also be used with a keyboard) and implements a hold-scroll feature using the R-Trigger and L-Trigger buttons to scroll items, making it easy to cycle through (instead of using the right arrow). Holding down the R-Trigger and L-Trigger buttons will continue to scroll through items.

Reasons for a separate mod:

Since the game patch 1.21 CDPR reworked the radial menu, the authors of Quick Radial Selection have also heavily modified their mods to accommodate the new menu rewriting most mods.

This mod uses existing code based on Quick Radial Selection Mod version 1.8, but updated for game version 1.31 to maintain similar slot handling to previous versions of Quick Radial Selection Mod.

Bottom slot:

• Right slot icon shows oil or food
• The middle slot icon displays equipment items (Crossbow/Quick Slot 1/Quick Slot 2/Bomb)
• The slot icon on the left shows a potion or mutagen item

By selecting one of these icons, you can:

• Use Y on the controller to switch the item type to display in the slot:
• Slots on the right for oil and food

Switch Between - Switch between middle slots (Crossbow/Quick Slot 1/Quick Slot 2/Bomb) and automatically equip the item.

Switching between Mutagens - Use the right trigger button (next item) or the left trigger button (previous item) to scroll through the list of items of the same type (only for potions/mutagens/oils/foods/bombs).

• Hold down the RT or LT button to continue scrolling through items.
• Items are automatically sorted by localized name for easy search.
• Use the A button on the controller to drink/consume/apply selected items
• Place the selected item (only for potions/mutagens/food) into any of the 4 consumable slots:
• Press the D-pad Up / D-pad Down button and the item will be set as the foreground slot
• Long press the D-pad Up / D-pad Down button and the item will be set as the foreground slot

Other additional features applied to this mod:

• Removed yellow cursor (currently equipped) to make it easier to see the currently selected item (white cursor).
• Press the R-Shoulder button (toggle between showing statistics and item description) to display statistics in the text box instead of item description
• Option in config file allows to apply oil during combat. Disabled by default.
• Use the R-Thumbstick to opt-in the toggle crossbow feature in the profile (as in the vanilla game). Warning: There is a small graphical glitch that causes the crossbow bolt icon to appear in the middle of the radial menu, even when switching to a different item type in the middle slot.
• Option in configuration file to enable scrolling of quick items (pocket items) using the "trigger" button. Warning: This works best if you only use 1 quick slot (pocket) in your inventory, otherwise chaos can occur in some situations.

The modQuickRadialSelectionConfig.ws configuration file allows changing certain settings:

• Set item scrolling speed when pressing button.
• List of items to exclude from display.
• Define default item types to appear in the right and left slots when opening the radial menu.
• Allows the use of oil in combat. Disabled by default.
• EnableSwitchingCrossbowBoltFeature (just like in the vanilla game). Disabled by default.
• EnableScrollingQuickSlotItems (for pocket items). Disabled by default.

Tips

• You need to equip items in your inventory so that they show up in the middle slots (Crossbow/Quick Slot 1/Quick Slot 2/Bombs).
