About this mod Machine translation
The appearance of the Ursine suit is now applied to the Griffin suit, the Griffin suit now looks like the Ursine suit
Swap the equip_templates for Griffin and Ursine Armor Sets (I can find all of them in my game and I have all the DLC) so that the stats and names of the sets are the same, but the textures/models of the sets have been changed, unlike other mods that swap out the stats. I prefer the Ursine look but use the Griffin set as my logo so it works for me. Dye, Master Edition, etc. are all proven to work.
How to install:
This is a "choose one in the files section and install it in the MODS folder in your Witcher 3 directory" type of mod.
You have two options: an unset weapon with only the armor model changed (main file, "Normal"), or a set of Griffin and Ursine's scabbard set with the armor set changed to match the swap ("Scabbard"). If you want the entire weapon to change model (i.e. the Ursine sword has the appearance of a Griffin sword), read the "How to Self Modify" section of this page to learn how to do it yourself.
Anyway, as an example, if you have Steam and want the scabbards to stay the same, that's normal files in the files section and put the unzipped folder in, for example, C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Witcher 3\MODS
How to modify yourself:
If you want to modify this mod, know how it was made, or do a completely new project setting up texture/model swapping, these instructions are for you. Otherwise, you can ignore this section.
I used Sarcen's Witcher 3 Mod Editor. It was down on most sites I looked for, but found a link to download from some random German guy's Google Drive from a YouTube tutorial on how to change a scabbard. Seems safe enough, right?
It requires the Witcher 3 Mod Tools to be installed, which is still online at the time of writing.
In Sarcen's Witcher 3 Mod Editor, simply create a new mod and add files from the menu. The files you want to add are:
dlc \ bob \ data \ gameplay \ items
def_item_crafting_armor.xml
def_item_crafting_boots.xml
def_item_crafting_gloves.xml
def_item_crafting_pants.xml
def_item_crafting_weapons.xml
DLC\Bob\DATA\Game\Project_plus
def_item_crafting_armor.xml
def_item_crafting_boots.xml
def_item_crafting_gloves.xml
def_item_crafting_pants.xml
def_item_crafting_weapons.xml

def_item_crafting_armor.xml

games\items_plus
def_item_crafting_armor.xml
def_item_crafting_boots.xml
def_item_crafting_gloves.xml
def_item_crafting_pants.xml
def_item_crafting_weapons.xml
Open each .xml file with Notepad++, look for instances of Bear and Gryphon (note the spelling) and swap the equip_template parts of each (remember that the equip_template variant at the bottom of some projects should also be changed). You should also toggle the icon_path for each so that your inventory loads the correct icon reflecting the armor. Note that on items_plus you have two instances: one for a normal base copy of the game and one for New Game Plus (the NGP prefix in the project name). You should spend a few hours fully using your new armor set. An important step that you should not forget is to double or triple check the exchange. If you don't want to change any aspect of the weapon at all, you don't have to include the weapon.xml file. once.
troubleshooting:
Good luck to you. I'm too busy to do much else here and probably won't update or come back to this page again (although the only reason this would need to be updated is if a new patch is released, which I highly doubt will happen again). If you have problems, you can try the stat swap mod.
It should theoretically use custom textures, although I haven't tested that yet. equip_template just calls it pointing to whatever texture you want to load, for example if you use a custom Ursine Armor, it (theoretically) loads Griffin Armor again.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
