Ciri travels across the world again to bring back a souvenir to Geralt
Realize I've never voluntarily worn any masks in the game... they're beautifully made and very friendly, but they're definitely "masquerade" material and not any other mask you've ever worn. This has to change, sooo.... ;)
This mod is just a quick little test, replacing one of the CDPR masks with Oleg (AxelF1067) Byk's "Jungle Hunter" mask... (Model used with permission - thanks Oleg! :) See more of his amazing work here... very much a Junk Hunter fan! ) Before anyone asks, no, I have no plans to port his entire mask set to TW3 - now that I know it works, I have other things I want to do. :)
How to get/use the mask? Install the mod, then buy a Bird Mask from the tailor in Novigrad (see map in the gallery.) Look in your inventory under the Quest Items panel (not the Armor panel), find the Bird Mask, and double-click it to equip... It will jump from the Quest panel to one of Geralt's pockets, and also appear on his face. To remove it, double-click the bird mask in the pocket slot. To uninstall, delete the modPredatorMask folder. Very simple. :)
In the screenshots: Geralt is wearing a "long, loose" hairstyle, the BadWolf mod changed his hair color to black (download here), and he's wearing Toussant Ducal Guardsmen armor (the kind that looks Predatorish on the shoulders). )
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
