This simple mod makes sword oil last longer: 5000 times.

This will make your sword oil last forever!

It changes duration from 20/40/60 to 5000 for all types of oils.

How to install

If you already have a mods overwriting the original patch.bundle:

You will need the quickbms app, if not I suggest you follow the Witcher 3's modified tutorial:

So, inside the "The Witcher 3" folder there should be a folder called "Mods" with quickbms.exe inside it.

Download the version using the installer

Create a new folder inside quickbms folder and name it as you want

The quickbms folder must be located in the "Witcher 3" folder

Extract the Everlasting.sInstaller_5000hits_quickbms REQUIRED.zip file in this new folder

Start oil installer.bat

enjoy

If no other mod overrides the patch.bundle file:

Download version without installer

Go to The Witcher 3contentpatch0bundles, backup the original patch.bundle file (by renaming it as an example)

Extract Everlasting.s_5000hits_patch.bundle.zip in The Witcher 3contentpatch0bundles overlay original file

How to uninstall

quickbms version:

Wash oil unloader bat

Patch.bundle version:

Overwrite the modified patch.bundle file with the backup

Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
