No Potion Drinking Screen FX No Potion Drinking Screen FX
Compatible with 1.31
Disables visual potion/decoction drinking effects for a more natural, immersive experience. The visual effect is bright waves and screen flashes on Geralt. Sound effects are still present.
Install
Extract the .zip to The Witcher 3\mods folder.
This mod changes the playerWitcher.ws file. I don't think it will conflict with other modes, but who knows. However, many mods also change playerWitcher.ws, so you may need to merge it with other mods. In this case, use the excellent tool Script Merger.
This is a very simple mod. All I did was exclude line 6661 in playerWitcher.ws, which is located at:
Witcher 3 \ content \ content0 \ scripts \ game \ player

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
