About this mod Machine translation
Removed level adjustments for weapons and armor.
What does this MOD do?
This mod removes level dependent scaling of weapons or armor. Instead of being tied to the player's level, weapons and armor are now semi-fixed levels, equal to a fixed base level, plus a small random offset to prevent all items from being exactly the same. Figure 3 shows the basic level for all projects.
Crafted gear and items that you have picked up before installing this mod are not affected.
Install
Copy the folder modNoItemScaling into the <witcher3-directory>/mods-folder. Delete it to uninstall. NMM should also work, but I haven't tested it.
Require
This mod requires patch 1.31 and all free DLC to be installed.
question
Merchants have some weird interactions with some items, meaning they sometimes (but rarely) ignore the base level I set in the game files and instead use a different base level or a completely fixed base level for their products. I haven't found the reason for this behavior. If anyone has a hint on this, feel free to drop me a line!
About New Game+
Starting with version 9.2, NG+ is only "minimally" supported. In NG+, all items will/should have a base level equal to the player level at the start of the NG+ playthrough.
DLC items
No project scaling supports HoS and BaW. You can find the necessary additional files under Optional files.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
