About this mod Machine translation

There can only be one.

Once you get a relic sword/armor (or harness), you'll never get the same thing again.

Now included in LEGO - Mass Economy Gear Overhaul.

Relic knives, armor, and horse gear will ultimately feel unique because you won't find any duplicate copies in loot or shops after you've acquired the first one.

Works for NewGame and NewGamePlus, including old and new playthings.

How it works:

Hidden copy:

When the player interacts with a container or a merchant's shop menu, the mod will detect if they are carrying artifacts/horsegear that you have acquired previously, in which case these items are hidden in a non-persistent NoShow tag (meaning uninstalling the mod should make them visible again).

In the case of containers, to prevent potential problems with empty containers, a single coin is also added to the container as a replacement for its hidden item. Cycle replacement coins will remove hidden items from the container. You can still get more than one relic/horse through crafting or quest rewards.

Track fetched copies:

In NewGame and NewGamePlus, the mod keeps track of any new relics/harnesses added to the player's catalog and automatically adds their names to a persistent list of acquired copies.

In NewGame, the mod has the additional feature of automatically scanning the player's inventory as well as storing the inventory used by the chest/horse in case you install it in the middle of a toy.

If you are on NewGamePlus The mod is installed in the playthrough, then I have provided the console command ModNoDuplicatesAddInventoryItemFacts() which will scan the player's inventory only once, looking for previously acquired artifacts and horse equipment, and add their names Add to the persistent list of copies that have been obtained, in which case you should first look for them. Make sure you put any imported NG artifacts/harnesses elsewhere when using the command, as they have the same name as their more advanced NGP counterparts, otherwise if added to the list it will prevent you from finding the NGP version. If preferred, the ModNoDuplicatesAddStashItemFacts() command performs the same operation only for stash boxes.

Install:

uninstall:

If the files have been merged before, merge them. Delete the extracted folder.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
