No Chatterboxes

About this mod Machine translation
When I'm walking around, I don't usually hear people whispering insults, questions, or boring comments in my ear every step of the way. This sounds like a miserable experience that I wouldn't wish on anyone, including Geralt.
As a result, the wizarding world is now a much quieter place. Nearly all of the repetitive background NPC chatter has been removed, save for most guard warnings and fights, a very occasional insult or comment that seems to be in nature, and some unobtrusive dialogue that you can overhear in less frequented areas.
Now Geralt can wander the landscape and enjoy music and ambient noises without any of the hacking, snorting, farting, spitting, begging, threats, jeers, catcalls and gossips constantly assaulting his ears.
Notice
There are a million background dialogue lines and I had to disable them one by one, so I'm sure there were a few here and there that were overlooked. If you find yourself hearing the same thing over and over again, please tell me the precise dialogue and/or sound, the exact location with a map screenshot, and a screenshot of the person speaking or making the noise. If I feel it's been ignored and should be removed, I'll update the mod accordingly.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
