uninstall:
If you have completed the game and the NPCs were auto-generated, the NPCs will remain in the world after removing the mod. In order to resolve this issue, you must perform the following steps before uninstalling the mod:
implement:
DisableCompanionSpawning(1)
This will prevent co-servers from automatically spawning in the world. Then, head to each place where you have spawned companions, namely Velen/Novigrad, Skellige, White Orchard, Vizima, KaerMorhen, and Toussaint. In each place, execute the command.
RemoveAllCompanions(1)
This will delete all companions in the world, including special companions. You must physically enter each location listed above in order to remove companions from that location. Once this is done you can uninstall the mod and the NPCs should not remain. If you decide to reinstall this mod, be sure to execute the command: 'DisableCompanionSpawning(0)' to re-enable automatic companion spawning. This flag is stored as a fact in the save game and will remain even after uninstalling the mod.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
